"From Alexandria, take US Hwy. 71 south and turn right on LA Hwy. 112 (at the caution light in Lecompte). Continue through Lecompte, and turn left just BEFORE Linzay and Red Hill Cemeteries (about .3 mile). Springhill Cemetery is about 1/3 mile up this dirt road. The cemetery is very large, situated on a hill, and is well maintained as far as grounds are concerned. Many vaults and slabs are broken or sunken in the ground; several depressions are visible as most unmarked burials once had slabs of concrete or brick vaults."
